Christi & Austin : North Shore, MN
When we first met at the Lynhall, I was floored by one thing that instantly was apparent in Christi & Austin : peace. These two have a way with making people feel like their best selves, just by being their selves. I think at that first meeting we stayed for hours, talking about our hearts and dreaming big together (all I could ever ask for & more with my clients). Austin recently decided to start his own corporate work in carpentry, and Christi basically is a bomb business woman taking on website management projects from the comfort of her home office (or offices? Satellite work is the best. We could super relate to working in coffee shops all day). And of course, this peace they portrayed carried through our entire wedding experience together.
They are a couple who trusts their gut once they’ve shined it to the light of God. They actually met on Christian Mingle, and after a year of not knowing Austin had messaged Christi & her having to pay $30 just to respond!, they finally went on a date and knew this was different. $30 well spent, Christi. Even when planning their engagement session, they put complete trust in my process as we decided to drive hours up north to a state park I’d never been to, and their love to give me creative direction was immeasurably valuable to me (especially given their not-so-eager-love for heights). Not to mention their grace at their wedding (!!) which I hope to blog soon as well! Because wow, that day : they planned it speedily, kept it small, and kept the true meaning of it all in perspective, all the while ending up with the most gorgeous, 40s’ reminiscent wedding day. I hope I get better at sharing tons and tons of the photos from my sessions here, but again, here’s just a few for now.
